We have a number of policies developed to support our staff and the partners that we work with.
General Statement of Equal Opportunities
Healthlink Worldwide believes in providing equality of opportunity
for all so that both the individual and the organisation can continue to grow.
The aim of this policy is to ensure that no employee or job applicant receives
less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, ethnic origin, nationality,
colour, religion, marital status and disability, or is disadvantaged by conditions
or requirements, which cannot be shown to be justifiable.
Selection criteria and procedures for employment are intended to ensure that individuals are treated on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities having regard to the requirements of the job.
Healthlink Worldwide is also committed to provide appropriate administrative support to any disabled staff member to allow them to perform their duties effectively.
Child protection policy
As an international non-governmental organisation concerned with health and
development, Healthlink Worldwide has a moral and legal responsibility to
protect children and other vulnerable groups. Our child protection policy
has been developed to not only to protect children (especially vulnerable
children, for example those affected by HIV and AIDS, those who are destitute
and those with disabilities) but also the organisations and individuals who
work with and for them. Whilst the focus of this policy is on child protection,
many of the procedures and formats are also of relevance to working with other
groups who may be vulnerable to abuse.

External complaints policy
Healthlink Worldwide aims to provide a high level of service to all our partners,
clients and everyone who uses our services. We are constantly striving to
improve our work and evolve as an organisation and therefore value any feedback
we are given and treat complaints very seriously, in a sympathetic and professional
manner. Our complaints policy outlines our approach and process of dealing
with compaints and provides details of who to contact.
