The Disability Knowledge and Research programme was managed in partnership
by the Overseas Development Group at the University of East Anglia and
Healthlink Worldwide.
The programme is part of the UK Department for International Development's
(DFID) broader programme to eliminate poverty in poor countries.
The two year programme contained many different elements and involved a range of partner organisations. In particular three Southern based Disabled People's Organisations were involved with the organisation and facilitation of the roundtable events. These partners were:
Federation of Disability Organisations in Malawi ( FEDOMA) - an umbrella organisation of disability organisations in Malawi.
Blind People's Association, India (BPA) - One of the largest
Disabled People's Organisations in India. BPA provide a range of services
for disabled people including education, training, employment, advocacy
and counseling.

Disability Action Council, Cambodia (DAC) - An umbrella organisation of disability organisations. It includes representatives from the Cambodian government . As well as advocacy work it acts in a professional advisory capacity to the Cambodian Government's policy-makers and legislators on all issues affecting the welfare of people with disabilities.
