HIV and AIDS - Child-Centred Approaches to HIV and AIDS (CCATH)

CCATH final evaluation report

Children at school, Uganda

The final evaluation report of the Child-Centred Approaches to HIV and AIDS project synthesises the findings from two independent evaluations and from the participatory evaluation undertaken by the CCATH partners and the communities they work with.

In the commununities in which the partners work the CCATH project has contributed to mitigating the impact of HIV and AIDS on children and their families. The report highlights areas of achievements of the project and evidence of impact on the lives of the children and parents in communities affected by HIV and AIDS. It also discusses the weaknesses identified and the challenges faced.

It makes recommendations for future areas of focus so the CCATH partnership can continue to contribute to the well-being of children and their families in Kenya and Uganda, as well as developing models of effective practice to disseminate more widely through development partners in East Africa and beyond.
