Source International Information Support Centre provides health and disability information to a wide range of users in both developing and developed countries through its fully searchable website and a physical collection based in London.

Healthlink Worldwide is a founding partner in Source: a collaboration between Healthlink Worldwide, Handicap International, and the Centre for International Child Health.

The Source website www.asksource.info has over 25,000 abstracts and resources with many links to full text online. These include books, journals, manuals, reports, posters, CD-ROMs, websites and organisations. Many materials are from developing countries and include both published and unpublished literature not readily available elsewhere in the UK.

The website includes six main topic areas:

sharing Source resourcesThe Source databases provide easy searching of health and disability information resources. In addition Source staff, together with experts in the field, select resources to feature in Key lists on specific themes, such as HIV and AIDS communication, disability and emergencies, ICT and health communication, and many more.

Researching, compiling and dissmeninating Key lists is an important aspect of many of Healthlink Worldwide's projects and programmes and our Key lists are used by partners the world over. They include practical information such as manuals and training guides together with background texts and journals, and details of case-studies, newsletters, useful organisations and discussion groups.

The full A-Z set of Key lists can be accessed on the Source website.

Recent projects include the synthesis of 15 Key lists featuring over 300 disability and inclusion resources aimed at organisations working with disabled people, which are now available online, in print and on CD-ROM.
